Anter: Ant Research and Battle Game
Anter is an educational game developed as part of a subsidy project by National Changhua University of Education. Created in collaboration between Professor Meng-Tzu Cheng from the Biology Department and renowned ant scholar Professor Lin Zong-Qi, Anter aims to educate students about 26 species of ants in Taiwan. Players manipulate various variables to deduce optimal growth conditions for different ants and engage in battles against invading red ants. Through gameplay, students enhance their understanding of ant-related scientific concepts and cultivate investigative skills.
In Anter, players explore maps with diverse terrains to collect ants, identify unique characteristics of each ant species, nurture them under optimal conditions, and engage them in battles against red ants. The game encourages learning about ant ecology, distribution areas, species identification, and scientific inquiry skills.
